Yesterday, we received a bollocking from our TV Journalism tutor. Every Tuesday we produce a half-hour news programme. The complaint was that the ‘journalism’ in our stories was lacking. Many of us had turned up to the pitching session with stories that either sounded like they were devised by some PR person, or stories that looked far too similar to what the local papers were running.
